A little bit of my story & my Yoga journey
Meredith Kramer
RYT500, Advanced Teacher of Therapeutic Yoga

We come to our mats to stretch our hamstrings and hope.
I found Yoga in 2000 at a now-defunct gym in Rockland County, NY. My first class had the mats in a circle, and I’m pretty sure I floated out of the room. I had to learn more!
For me, Yoga is more than just the physical postures. It’s movement, sure, but also breathing, meditation, and a way to navigate life off the mat.
Pretty much every job I’ve ever had included a teaching component, so it just made sense to become a Yoga instructor. My personal practice is always evolving, but more often than not involves some pop music cranked loud so I can sing!
I encourage everyone in class to cultivate a sense of play and exploration. Every body and everybody will find their version of the pose.
All are welcome here. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment for all who want to explore and experience the benefits of Yoga regardless of race, ethnicity, orientation, or background.
When not on the mat, you can find me belting out some Meat Loaf or Bon Jovi at karaoke or devouring a novel whole, especially if it’s scary, funny, or thought-provoking. I am also an New York State-certified Spanish teacher and a tutor.
